Manila Water Total Solutions (MWTS) offers a wide range of expertise on after-the-meter services, which include the provision of network and technical services under the Corporate Accounts Management (CAM) business, and the production and sale of purified water through the Healthy Family brand.

Manila Water Total Solutions is the Company’s vehicle for vertical growth. MWTS bridges capacities through product innovation, delivering solutions for customers and communities. It develops endconsumer and system solutions in the water and used water value chain, delivered at scale, and with a commitment to preserving the environment.

CORPORATE ACCOUNTS MANAGEMENT

The Corporate Accounts Management (CAM) business of MWTS offers master planning and design, water and used water network pipelaying, integrated used water solutions, and construction management.

Pipelaying in horizontal developments and townships is the primary service of CAM. It provides sustainable solutions to its customers through the design and construction of water, used water and gray water networks. In 2017, CAM ended the year with revenues of P365 million, as the business strove to attain steady-state in its operations. From 2015, the business has gained a steady stream of projects, and anticipates continuous growth facilitated by a robust property development business climate in the coming years.

Integrated Used Water Solutions (IUS) addresses the unserved market of used water management services for private businesses. Since 2015, IUS has had major land developers, commercial and industrial customers, and utilities as its primary clients. IUS guides its customers to sustainably comply with environmental regulations, especially in the absence of available sewer networks from public water utilities across the country. Providing holistic customer-specific solutions and a design and build approach, IUS innovates through value-engineering and technologies integration. At the end of 2017, IUS posted revenues of P126 million, as it continues its uptrend towards the business viability of environmental solutions.

As a whole, CAM ended the year with total contracted projects amounting to P1.56 billion, comprising of pipelaying works at 72 percent or P1.12 billion, and IUS at 28 percent or P0.44 billion.

In fulfillment of its commitment to environmental sustainability and harnessing renewable energy, MWTS is also venturing in waste-to-energy programs with local government units and communities as key partners. Looking ahead, MWTS looks to partner with other industrial and agricultural waste management companies to strengthen the goal of applying technological innovations towards realizing vertical growth.

HEALTHY FAMILY PURIFIED WATER

Complementing the unwavering advocacy for customers to drink water from the tap, Healthy Family (HF) is a response to the growing demand for clean and safe drinking water, as customers experience problems with internal plumbing systems and deteriorated pipes.

In April 2017, MWTS launched a new variant under the HF brand – the 500-ml bottle (HF Mini) which are retailed in packs or cases of 24 bottles. Both variants harness the same distribution network that provides livelihood and employment opportunities to 344 partner distributors. Very recently, MWTS partnered with media personality Kris Aquino as the new Healthy Family endorser to help boost its sales.

HF currently has five plants with a total production capacity of 71,400 containers per day. Its customer base currently covers Metro Manila, and its growing key accounts include government institutions, hotels, schools, hospitals, BPO offices, fitness centers, and sari-sari stores. Innovative marketing modes are currently being explored by MWTS to establish its presence in the purified water market.
